working nicely with a broad range of web access devices (mobile
devices, different browsers, large screens) without developing
a completely separate mobile interface.

Architecture, 4th edition: This book introduces the big ideas
of information architecture which involves deciding how to
organize and present information in a way that makes it most useful
to your audience. This has way more depth on the topic than we will
discuss in class.

Web Apps with WordPress: This book explores a topic that we
spend no time on (directly) in class at all, but it might be useful
for folks who want to build things using WordPress, which Truman
encourages in some contexts.
